SE Annual Agreement Form Guidelines
This year, all Scientists Emeriti MUST fill out the online version of the USGS Individual Volunteer Services Agreement Form 9-2080 . We apologize that this is different from last year, but the process is mandated by the Bureau.
Because this form must be submitted online through the USGS Intranet, some of you may not have access. If so, please contact your Administrative Officer, and have him/her enter the data for you.
There is only one form for all USGS volunteers, which does not capture sufficient information about our Scientists Emeriti. Therefore, the decision has been made to expand Section 4 to accommodate additional Scientist Emeritus information.
You MUST include the following information in Section 4 of Form 9-2080.
Honorary Scientists Emeriti only need to answer 1-3.
- Indicate if you are an Honorary Scientist Emeritus. This category is for scientists who have had long, distinguished careers with the USGS but who are now less involved in USGS science activities. Such SE are assigned to an organizational unit based upon their geographic location and receive some limited resources, such as access to a phone, email, and the internet.
- Give the address (including room number) where you conduct your Scientist Emeritus activities.
- List preferred e-mail for receiving Scientist Emeritus information.
- Describe the duties/work that you plan to accomplish in FY 2008.
- List all USGS projects with which you will be participating in FY 2008, including Project Chief name.
- Will you be applying for the Bradley Scholar Program?
- What are your funding needs for FY 2008 that are NOT included in a Bradley proposal? Include how the money will be used: publication costs, purchase of maps, field work, laboratory expenses, attend meetings, drafting, GIS, secretarial, etc.
- Discuss what you accomplished during Fiscal Year 2007. This information MUST be provided annually after you have completed your first year as a Scientist Emeritus. Give a complete reference for all products published in the past year. List all other products, and indicate whether they are in progress, in review, Director’s Approval, etc.
