Author Information

Dear Abstract Authors for Oral and Poster Presentations,

Abstract reviews are complete. On February 22, we sent this information directly to the persons who submitted abstracts. Submitters are responsible for informing all authors on their abstract that it has been accepted. All author’s names were contained in the e-mail. We have posted here the following list of abstracts selected for talks or posters with session assignments.

An updated agenda will be available with timeslot assignments and more information on March 1, 2010.

All sessions had more requests for oral presentations than there was time available. The abstract reviewers recommended which requests for oral presentations would be asked to prepare a poster. Their goal was to increase representation of subdisciplines within each focus area and identify abstracts that would lend themselves to the in-depth treatment and opportunity for interaction offered by a poster presentation.

Abstracts will be included in registration packets and a digital version of the abstract volume will be maintained on the USGS Global Change website.

Presentation Lists with Session Assignments [02/23/2010, Excel, 80 Kb] - one tab each for oral and poster presentations.

Poster Presentation Guidelines
  • Maximum poster size - 48" high by 96" long.
  • Please leave your poster with the staff at the registration desk during Monday evening or Tuesday morning registration hours.
  • Poster stands will not be available until Tuesday morning so conference organizers will hang all posters prior to the Tuesday morning coffee break.
Oral Presentation Guidelines

Each oral presenter will have 15 minutes total. Please consider leaving 3-5 minutes at the end of your time for questions.

If you have questions, please contact the steering committee at globalchangeconf@usgs.gov for assistance.
