Recently I've summarized some of my experiences and recommendations to individual users or small groups of users in email messages. It seems to me that some of these writings may be helpful to the wider community as well, so they are offered here in the hopes that they may prove useful to you. These occur in two general categories, opinions on potentially controversial issues and announcements of new utilities or features to the mp-users email list.
